It only affects CPUs that are at least ~15 years old, and if you're running a system that ancient I doubt W11 would run particularly well anyway.

Even still, with Win 10 falling out of support next year, it looks like Micro$oft is going all out to create an epic e-waste mountain.
If Windoze does go to a subscription model, I’ll have to finally bite the bullet and learn Linux for my next machine.

The biggest problem with win changes is website certification.
I had a win7 for a decade and I eventually could not get into websites as support was gone and this certification problem arose over time, especially those websites that dealt with buying anything as it came up with 'not certified'. So to get into these websites I had to type in one word 'thisisnotsafe' and even then I could not buy anything. I have now moved on to win10 to get around this problem Its like windows telling is we have reached a sell buy date.

I am not looking forward to loss of support for win10 as likely this website certification problem will rear its ugly head again. I do not know why legally they are allowed to do this by making your existing computer non-workable on the internet.

What browser were you using? IE? Edge? Chrome? Firefox wouldn't be throwing that if it was an ESR, it's supported till Sep 24 on Win7.

Other reasons to not be using Win 7 though. :)

Chrome. No idea what an ESR is. Not that computer savvy.
